Presentation

Patient presents with fever, headache, and nasal congestion.

Clinical differential diagnosis

Concern for sinus disease.

Findings

Sinus CT:

There is mucosal thickening through the paranasal sinuses with air-fluid levels and aerated secretions within the frontal and sphenoid sinuses.

There are postoperative changes related to prior maxillary antrostomies.

As described on previous studies, these findings may represent acute sinusitis.

Diagnosis

Sinus air-fluid levels which may represent acute sinusitis.
