RC Brain:   Oligodendroglioma seen involving the anterior left frontal lobe, superior and middle gyri. Postsurgical change from biopsy noted.   Diffusion tensor:   The mass is predominantly located superior to the horizontally coursing fibers from the region of the left inferior frontal gyrus.     Functional MRI:   No motion or patient cooperation difficulties.     Language:   Language activation lateralizes to the left cerebral hemisphere.   Activation in Broca's area is in the left inferior frontal lobe at expected location. Activation is best seen on word generation task (series 104, image 37). The bulk of activation is seen inferior to the mass.   Slight activation noted within the mass at the superior anterior margin (series 4 image 44) . This may not be directly language related.   Activation in Wernicke's is not well seen but is apparent on the left ( series 104, image 32, 33 and sagittal verb generation series 109, image 6).   Note activation in Broca's area is seen best on word generation and verb generation tasks.     Motor:   Motor and sensory activation seen bilaterally in expected locations along the central sulcus and posterior central sulci.     Impression:   Language lateralizes to the left cerebral hemisphere   Tumor seen involving the anterior left frontal lobe, superior and middle gyri   Activation in Broca's area is as expected in the left inferior frontal gyrus
